Family therapy

Help your family feel close again.

When tension, conflict, or a hard season is pulling your family apart, we help you rebuild understanding, repair relationships, and create a calmer, more loving home — together.

You might recognize…

Struggles we help families move through

Constant arguing, or walking on eggshells
A teen or child who is pulling away
Parents who can’t get on the same page
Blended-family or step-parenting friction
Grief, illness, or a big life change
Feeling more like strangers than family
How we help

A place where every voice is heard

Dr. Bustillo helps your family slow down, understand the patterns driving the conflict, and communicate in ways that build connection instead of distance. Using evidence-based family therapy, you’ll move toward healthier roles, clearer boundaries, and a home that feels safe for everyone in it.

If faith matters to your family, it can anchor the work — shared values, prayer, and reflection woven in at your pace. If it doesn’t, the clinical care stands entirely on its own.

Common questions

Family therapy, answered

Does the whole family need to attend?
Not always. We’ll decide together who should be part of each session for the best results.
Can you help with a specific child or teen?
Yes. We often combine family sessions with focused work involving your child or teen.
Is faith part of the sessions?
Only if you want it to be. Faith is offered, never imposed — the clinical work stands on its own.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Yes. Dr. Bustillo works fluently in both English and Spanish.
How long does family therapy take?
It depends on your goals, but many families feel a shift within the first several sessions.
Is this in-person?
Yes — in our welcoming Miami office. Telehealth is available when you need it.
